GET FUNK'D! & ALASKA
A huge thank you to everyone who supported us throughout this year's Fringe Festival. We had a ball and we gather you did too. The shows will be going through a bit of a rebrand over the coming year - The Katet Vs. will be transforming into our new Fringe company, GET FUNK'D! To celebrate we'll be launching not one but two brand new Get Funk'd shows:
Next up in our 90's series with be Get Funk'd - 1996: The Dance Revolution, featuring a bunch of special guests including Andy Chisholm on Guitar and Jonny White on Saxophone.
We'll also be launching Get Funk'd - The Beatles! tackling the most challenging tunes in the Fab Four's back catalogue. Expect singalongs galore and tear-jerking mashups of some of the most uplifting music ever released...
Also, you may be aware that I've been working, very slowly when funds allow, to complete The Katet's mammoth travel album, ALASKA.
Over 10 years ago, this album was written and arranged over 4 months aboard a cruise ship in 2016. The songs are about my honeymoon travels with my wife the year before, and my adventures aboard the ship and what happened when I finally reached Alaska... We'll be launching this album with a one-off, mega-immersive listening party, hopefully at the infamous Cameo Cinema in Edinburgh. Don't worry we'll be shouting about it when the time comes. So, as it stands we're looking at the following big dates for the following: Get Funk'd - 1995: The Battle for Britpop (Feb 2027) ALASKA Album Launch @Cameo Cinema (Mar 2027) Get Funk'd - Stevie Wonder! (Mar 2027) Get Funk'd - 1996: The Dance Revolution (May 2027) Get Funk'd - The Beatles (June 2027) Get Funk'd - John Williams (Nov 2027)
Get Funk'd - The 90s series
A VERY EXCITING YEAR AHEAD FOR US - WATCH THIS SPACE FOLKS!
