Over the past year I've been filming some performances at my weekly slot at Mathers on Broughton Street. Maybe we'll see a bit of progress in my playing as they get released over the coming months. Here's the first one, a classic: Algiers Strut - named after the New Orleans parish on the west bank of the Mississippi.
I recently went ahead and, with the help of Tenement Jazz Band, invested in a Keybird X1 portable piano. This means i'll be able to bring a piano out with me on gigs around town and further a field, always playing with that authentic feel and sound.

I'll be hitting up multiple summer festivals this year. Particularily looking forward to Kelburn Garden Party at the beginning of July where I'll be joining Tenement Jazz Band among others for some trad jazz in the sun. If you can't wait till then catch us at our monthly residency at The Arygle Cellar Bar, 3rd Thursday of each month.
More exciting trad jazz news for you in the coming months…
